BC Wolves announce significant growth on social media platforms and in-game attendance

As 2023 winds down on the professional club’s inaugural season, the BC Wolves have announced that they have grown significantly in terms of social media following and in-game attendance at their newest home court, the Avia Solutions Group Arena.

After launching the team’s social media profiles back in 2022, the BC Wolves are now the number one YouTube sports channel in Lithuania with more than 100,000 subscribers and more than 300 videos on the said platform. It regularly posts game highlights, player features, and interviews, as well as candid clips of the team members outside of the hardcourt.

The club’s TikTok profile is the number one most followed account among the Betsafe-LKL’s 12 teams, with close to 87,000 followers. It has high short-form video engagement with its fanbase and is appealing to a wide range of demographics – from casual fans to diehard basketball fanatics.

On Facebook, the club has amassed more than 180,000 Followers - the second most-followed basketball club in the Betsafe-LKL. There, it regularly updates its fans with game schedules, per-quarter scores during game days, Player of the Game spotlights, and more. The team’s Instagram profile is now listed as the 3rd most followed team in the Betsafe-LKL, with more than 12,000 IG followers.

Aside from its ever-growing social media presence, the Vilnius-based club is also one of the most watched teams in Lithuania and has a significant in-game attendance that is ranked second in both the BKT-EuroCup and the Betsafe-LKL. Last October 24, the club reached a record-setting fan attendance of 8,257 during a BKT-EuroCup game against Besiktas Emlakjet that resulted in a thrilling 90-88 Wolves win.

The club has recently moved from Alytus to the nation’s capital of Vilnius just in time for its second season and is now playing in the Avia Solutions Group Arena. The team’s home court has been recently renovated and now boasts state-of-the-art acoustics and lighting, and currently houses the largest LED cube in Lithuania.

Avia Solutions Group Arena can seat up to 10,000 people during sporting events, and up to 13,000 spectators during concerts / musical performances.

It is expected that the club will continue to push for global visibility and brand recognition for 2024 onwards as the team regularly competes in high-level competitions such as the Betsafe-LKL and the BKT-EuroCup (the second most prestigious basketball tournament in Europe).
