BC Wolves name Astijus Pūkas as the new Team Manager

Effective immediately, Astijus Pūkas has been named as the BC Wolves' new Team Manager and will take care of the club's administrative duties and organizational requirements as it plays in its second season.

He replaces Justina Meškevičiūtė, who has been performing said functions for more than a year. Instead, J.Meškevičiūtė will continue to be part of the club's activities as she handles the implementation of international projects for the Wolves.

"First of all, a big Thank You goes to Justina, who previously agreed to take on the role of team manager at the beginning of the club's development. Thanks to her, all management processes for the team were created and presided over. She will now continue her work with the club and help us in international waters. Justina has accumulated extensive project management experience, which is very necessary for the club to realize its future vision, and therefore we must direct those competencies to where the club will benefit the most," said Andrius Žiauberis, Club Director of the Vilnius-based Wolves.

A. Pūkas is currently studying at the Vilnius University's Institute of International Relations and Political Sciences. He has undergone an internship with the Lithuanian Basketball League, the participants of said academy are given the opportunity to familiarize themselves with sports communication, marketing, management, and event organization throughout the season.

At the end of the season, he was awarded the "powered by Citadele" scholarship, an accolade given to the best students of this academy.

"Congratulations to Astijus on joining the team. This guy has a great passion for basketball. We received good recommendations from the LKL academy, so we decided to invite him to our organization," said Donatas Zavackas, Wolves' sports director.
