After returning to Lithuania last summer and committing his future to Wolves Twinsbet Vilnius, center Marek Blaževič will continue his career with the capital’s club.
The 211 cm big man has signed a new two-year contract.
In the domestic championship, Blaževič, who started most games, averaged 11 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and a performance index rating (PIR) of 13.
In the BKT EuroCup, he contributed 9.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1 assist, and a PIR of 11.4 per game. One of his standout performances came late in the regular season against Dreamland Gran Canaria in Vilnius, where he posted 27 points, 6 rebounds, and a PIR of 32.
“Marek became an important part of Wolves Twinsbet last season. One of our goals is to build the squad around a strong core of local players, so we’re excited that he will continue his career in his hometown,” said Wolves Twinsbet sporting director Donatas Zavackas.
