Coach Pacevičius Joins Lithuanian Women's National Team Staff

The Lithuanian women's national basketball team has finalised its coaching staff. Nedas Pacevičius, assistant coach of Wolves Twinsbet Vilnius, is joining head coach Vilius Stanišauskas’ team as a scout.

Having recently completed the LKL season with Wolves, Pacevičius will join the women's national team on Monday, following their return from a training camp in Turkey. The team will continue its preparations for the upcoming European Championship in Vilnius.

"I'm grateful for the trust Vilius Stanišauskas has shown in me. We've already been through quite a journey together with the youth national teams. I want to contribute to the staff and work with the women’s team," said Pacevičius.

"Of course, I feel a great sense of honour and responsibility. This is the first championship in 10 years, and everyone is looking forward to it with high hopes. I aim to contribute to the team’s success through my knowledge, hard work, and experience."

The 30-year-old basketball coach has previously worked not only with Wolves Twinsbet but also with clubs in Jonava, Alytus, and Utena. He has coached Budivelnyk Kyiv and West Bandits Surakata (Indonesia), and is well-acquainted with Stanišauskas.

From 2022 to 2024, Pacevičius served as an assistant coach under Stanišauskas for Lithuania’s U18, U19, and U20 women’s youth teams. In 2022, they won gold at the European Championship with the U18 team.

The women’s national team staff also includes assistant coaches Sandra Linkevičienė and Tomas Rinkevičius, strength and conditioning coach Ugnius Savickas, team doctor Mantas Ambraška, and physiotherapists Agnė Abromaitė and Mantas Masilionis.
