Having closed out the BKT EuroCup regular season on a winning note and securing fourth place in Group A, Wolves Twinsbet Vilnius have found out their opponent for the first round of the playoffs.
As the final round of results unfolded, it was determined that the Vilnius team would face Romania’s top club, U-BT Cluj-Napoca, in Round 16. The Romanian side features Lithuanian player Gediminas Orelik and finished their group stage campaign with a victory over Aris Thessaloniki, securing fifth place in their group.
The Round of 16 will be a single-elimination game hosted by the higher-seeded team, meaning the Wolves will have home-court advantage in Vilnius as they battle for a spot in the quarterfinals. The game is set to take place on March 4.
The winner will advance to face B Group’s top seed, Valencia Basket, in Spain. Valencia automatically qualified for the quarterfinals, which, like the Round of 16, will be decided in a single game.
