In Friendly Matches, Wolves Esports Faced Opponents from Sweden and Estonia

On Monday evening, the Wolves Esports five took part in three intense preparation matches against Sweden's high-level organization LILMIX and the Estonian national team, as they gear up for key Lithuanian and European championship battles.

In the opening clash against the Scandinavian opponents, the Vilnius team got off to a slow start and found themselves trailing. However, they managed to cut the deficit by the end of the first half, entering the break down by just 8 points (30–38).

Both teams played at a high tempo in the second half, but a few extra mistakes by the Wolves tipped the balance in Sweden's favor, with LILMIX taking the win 70–65.

In the second game, played on home turf, the Vilnius side showed grit and determination. Despite losing the first half, Wolves Esports went toe-to-toe with the Swedish squad in the second. Still, in the closing moments, LILMIX once again edged out the victory – 73–67.

“These were incredibly tight games. We definitely could have won, but we made too many mistakes, which allowed them to hang on and even pull away,” said team captain Lukas Diliauskas after the match.

The final matchup against the Estonian national team was a back-and-forth battle. After a clutch three-pointer in the dying seconds of the first half, Estonia led 33–30.

The second half was a true showdown, point for point – and with less than one second left on the clock, a spectacular assist into the paint followed by a buzzer-beating shot gave Wolves Esports a thrilling 60–59 win.

“An emotional evening. That last-second win was the cherry on top. It feels amazing,” Diliauskas shared after the final game.
