Wolves Twinsbet Vilnius point guard Vaidas Kariniauskas underwent an arthroscopic procedure in Kaunas today to clean out his knee joint, which had been causing discomfort.
The player had been experiencing persistent pain in his right knee, forcing him to miss some games. Conservative treatment methods were used to manage the pain, but they only provided short-term relief, leading to the decision to proceed with surgery.
According to Professor Rimtautas Gudas, who performed the operation, the procedure was successful, and Kariniauskas is expected to return to the court in approximately 10-12 weeks.
This season, Kariniauskas has averaged 3.4 points and 2 assists per game in the domestic league, while recording 1.3 points and 1.2 assists per game in the BKT EuroCup.
The injury-depleted "Wolves Twinsbet" are without Matas Jogėla, Marek Blaževič, and Daniel Baslyk.
