The third Wolves Twinsbet and Lithuanian deaf children meeting under the EuroLeague "One Team" program took place at GG1 Arena in Vilnius. During the event, the finals of the deaf children's tournament were held, and the best-performing participants were awarded.
The NBA 2K25 gaming tournament followed a double-elimination format, allowing players to reach the grand final even after losing once.
The tournament lasted two days - the first day featured matches leading up to the playoffs, while the second day hosted the most important battles for the awards.
"It is a great joy to see such genuine emotions from the children, as I did during the finals. They were completely dedicated to the game, played responsibly and intelligently, and used various tactics, just like in real basketball. You could say they were true players," said Wolves Twinsbet club Project Manager Titas Servutas after the tournament.
A large number of parents attended the playoff stage at the arena, not only supporting their children but also taking on coaching roles, helping them play as successfully as possible.
"We were delighted to see so many parents at the event. It was heartwarming to watch them interact with their children, helping them stay calm at crucial moments, offering advice on gameplay, or suggesting tactical changes. It’s wonderful when both children and adults engage in shared activities. This is exactly how a community is united and strengthened, fostering communication and involvement," said T. Servutas.
This event marked the final esports activity with Lithuanian deaf children under the EuroLeague "ONE Team" program. Moving forward, the program will focus on improving participants' technical basketball skills on the court, with support from program ambassadors brothers Lavrinovič and Wolves Twinsbet point guard Kristupas Žemaitis.
The esports activities were not chosen by chance. Last year, Wolves Twinsbet formed and integrated an esports team, Wolves Esports, into the club’s structure. The team represents the Vilnius-based club not only in Lithuanian competitions but also in various European tournaments and leagues.
