Although three final regular season games of the Betsafe-LKL are still set to be played on Wednesday, Tuesday’s results — a win by 7bet-Lietkabelis Panevėžys and a loss by CBet Jonava — have cleared up the final playoff picture.
These outcomes mean that 7bet-Lietkabelis will finish third, CBet Jonava will drop to fifth, while Wolves Twinsbet Vilnius will slot in between them in fourth place.
As a result, the quarterfinals will see 7bet-Lietkabelis face Uniclub Bet-Juventus Utena for the fourth consecutive year. All three previous series have ended in victories for the Panevėžys side.
The Wolves, meanwhile, will be seeking revenge against CBet after a shocking exit in the 2023 quarterfinals.
It was already known that Žalgiris Kaunas and Rytas Vilnius would respectively face Neptūnas Klaipėda and Šiauliai Casino Admiral in their quarterfinal matchups.
Quarterfinal series will be played in a best-of-three format, with the higher-seeded team hosting Game 1 and, if necessary, Game 3.
The exact schedule for this stage will be confirmed shortly, but the opening games of the quarterfinals are already set to take place on Saturday, May 24.
