Wolves Twinsbet adds A. Kulboka to team line-up

The BC Wolves Twinsbet have signed forward Arnoldas Kulboka to the team roster. The 26-year-old player has not yet competed in Lithuania during his career but will now have the opportunity to debut in the national championship. The Marijampolė native recently agreed to a one-year contract with the Lithuanian capital's club.

A. Kulboka signed with Prometey Slobozhanske of Ukraine last summer but suffered a knee injury in the pre-season that forced him to miss the entire season.

Before the injury, the 6'9" swingman had a great season for Promitheas Patras in Greece, competing in both the Greek top league and the European Cup (BKT EuroCup). In the latter, he averaged 14.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1 assist, collecting 16.7 efficiency points per game.

"Congratulations to Arnold on joining our team. This player is still quite young but has already shown his potential in championships of various countries and European tournaments. He is currently rehabilitating from a serious injury, so he will have to make a full recovery first. We hope that Arnold will be a solid boost for our team in the coming season," said Donatas Zavackas, Wolves Twinsbet sports director.

At the young age of 17, A. Kulboka was enlisted by Germany's Brose Bamberg club for four seasons and played in their backup team after starting his professional career, as well as being loaned to the Young Pikes of Baunach in the second German division (ProA).

In his third season with the German club, he was loaned to Infodrive Capo d'Orlando (Orlandina Basket) in the Italian Serie A league. There, he had a breakthrough season and made a great debut in the FIBA Champions League, leading to Brose Bamberg announcing that he would be joining the main team the following year.

After spending four seasons in Germany, he continued his career in 2019 with Retabet Bilbao Basket of Bilbao, Spain, where he became an important rotation player for two years.

In the summer of 2021, A. Kulboka left Europe and crossed the Atlantic for an opportunity to play for the NBA's Charlotte Hornets, despite having one year left on his contract with the Spanish club. The Charlotte Hornets had selected A. Kulboka with the 55th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. With the Hornets, he was signed to a two-way contract and played not only for their NBA G League affiliate, Greensboro Swarm but also made his NBA debut the same year, appearing in two regular season games.

By the end of the 2021-2022 NBA season, A. Kulboka decided to continue his career in Europe and signed a one-year contract with Promitheas Patras in Greece.

Arnoldas Kulboka will now move to Vilnius to join Jeffery Taylor, Vaidas Kariniauskas, Kristupas Žemaitis, Regimantas Miniotas, Tre'Shawn Thurman, Matas Jogėla, Anthony Cowan, Marek Blaževič, Daniel Baslyk, Andrew Andrews, and Garrison Brooks for Wolves Twinsbet's upcoming season.
