Wolves Twinsbet snap losing streak with convincing win in Telšiai

The Wolves Twinsbet Vilnius (12-7) ended their four-game losing streak in the Betsafe-LKL, securing a dominant 106-86 victory on the road against M Basket-Delamode Mažeikiai (3-17).

For Mažeikiai, this marks their fifth consecutive loss. They remain two wins behind their closest rivals, Nevėžis-Optibet (5-15), who currently hold the ninth spot in the standings.

Early in the game, the LKL’s bottom-ranked team held their ground and even led 14-11. However, Jeffery Taylor quickly turned the tide, helping the Wolves take a 28-21 lead after the first quarter.

The gap continued to widen (36-25) despite the Mažeikiai imports contributing crucial points (34-45). Šarūnas Valunta and Armandas Urkis drained key three-pointers late in the second quarter, helping the hosts stay within striking distance at 45-51 by halftime.

Despite a strong stretch from Justinas Jogminas, Jeffery Taylor and Regimantas Miniotas once again pushed Wolves Twinsbet ahead to 72-58. The lead soon ballooned to 78-58, effectively sealing the victory for the Vilnius side.

With an entire quarter left to play, there was little suspense left for the spectators.

Regimantas Miniotas also set season-highs with 21 points, 12 rebounds, and a 37 efficiency rating.

The Mažeikiai squad was without Donatas Sabeckis and Tomas Zdanavičius, while Wolves Twinsbet played without Tre’Shawn Thurman, Vaidas Kariniauskas, Daniel Baslyk, Marek Blaževičius, and Matas Jogėla.
