During the Betsafe-LKL game between Wolves Twinsbet Vilnius and M Basket-Delamode Mažeikiai, the newly formed Wolves Esports team was honored at halftime.
Following the first quarter, the core NBA2K25 lineup of Wolves Esports — team captain Lukas Diliauskas, Povilas Duobas, Donatas Loginovas, Geraldas Miglinas, and Elvinas Sireikis — was introduced to the crowd at the Twinsbet Arena.
Each team member was congratulated by Wolves Twinsbet club president Rimantas Kaukėnas.
"We've been part of the Wolves for about two months and are extremely happy. Being an esports team within such a prominent club in a country where esports is still developing is a tremendous honor," said L. Diliauskas after the ceremony.
In December, the Wolves Esports team competed in Lithuania's NBA2K25 championship. Following a strong regular season performance, finishing second in the standings, their campaign ended after a hard-fought semifinal match.
The newly formed Wolves Esports team will soon begin an educational initiative to integrate the deaf community through virtual basketball as part of EuroLeague's "ONE Team" project. This program seeks to not only encourage participation in competitive esports alongside able-bodied individuals but also promote teamwork and communication development despite disabilities.
"Working with a club of this caliber inspires each of us to grow, set new goals, and expand esports in Lithuania. The level of gameplay we've reached is unprecedented in the country's NBA2K25 community," noted the Wolves Esports captain.
The Wolves Twinsbet team also aims to engage the country's younger generation in esports projects, offering opportunities to deepen their knowledge in this rapidly growing field.
Additionally, the new Wolves Esports team will represent the club not only in the local esports scene but also across Europe, participating in various tournaments and leagues.
