Wolves Twinsbet introduces the first esports team players

In mid-November, it was revealed who will represent the Wolves Twinsbet in NBA2K25 tournaments both in Lithuania and across Europe. After an intense selection and evaluation process, the Vilnius club chose the Bora Esports team, whose players have already established themselves in the top eSports leagues and tournaments, bringing recognition to Lithuania.

The team’s leader, Lukas “ImxLuke” Diliauskas, first encountered the NBA video game series back in 2009, but only began playing more seriously with the release of NBA2K23.

“I’ve been passionate about basketball my entire life, so my love for the sport naturally led me to this game. I’ve always enjoyed competing, and after starting NBA2K23, I quickly decided to test my skills in European tournaments,” said Diliauskas about his journey.

Although Bora Esports has achieved impressive results on the eSports scene, for its players, eSports remains more of a passion than a primary occupation.

“This is more than just a hobby. Every victory brings great emotions and motivates us to reach even greater heights,” added Lukas, recalling one of his most memorable moments – a victory against Turkey’s Regnum Carya Esports in the battle for third place in a European tournament.

Small forward Povilas “Pofke005” Duoba became interested in the NBA2K series in 2019 when he received NBA2K20 as a gift.

“I’ve always loved competing, and NBA2K provided a great alternative to football. Here, I can test my abilities and strive for the best results,” said Povilas, who stands out, particularly in defense, where his ability to stop opponents is one of the team’s main strengths.

Playing as the center, Donatas “Doonce_2k” Loginovas first tried the NBA2K series in 2012 with NBA2K13, but his breakthrough came with NBA2K20.

“The Lithuanian community in NBA2K began to grow rapidly – tournaments and leagues emerged. That was the real start of my journey,” said the player.

The partnership between Bora Esports and Wolves Twinsbet holds great promise. The eSports team not only elevates Lithuania’s profile but also exemplifies how a passion for sports can lead to international success. Despite challenges, these athletes remain determined to achieve even greater victories in the NBA2K25 arena.

Additionally, the new Wolves Esports team will champion inclusivity by integrating virtual basketball into the EuroLeague’s “ONE Team” project. This initiative aims to empower deaf individuals to compete alongside able-bodied players while fostering teamwork and communication skills beyond physical limitations.

The Wolves Twinsbet team also seeks to inspire Lithuania’s younger generation to explore eSports opportunities and deepen their understanding of this rapidly growing field.
