Wolves Twinsbet Vilnius are the first team to secure a spot in the Citadele King Mindaugas Cup (Citadele KMT) Final Four. In the second quarterfinal match, Alessandro Magro's squad triumphed at home, defeating CBet Jonava 85:72 (18:20, 22:17, 21:17, 24:18).
Wolves Twinsbet had built a solid 18-point lead after the first game, allowing them to afford a loss in this match as long as the margin wasn't too large. This marks their first-ever appearance in the Citadele KMT Final Four.
In the semifinals, they will face Neptūnas Klaipėda.
Arnoldas Kulboka led the Vilnius team early in the game (9:4), though Bogdan Bliznyuk quickly turned the tide (11:9). Jonava's advantage grew to 18:11, but it diminished by the end of the quarter – 20:18.
Wolves Twinsbet regained the lead (28:24), though they struggled to extend it significantly. By halftime, the teams were separated by just 3 points – 40:37.
Kulboka scored crucial points for his team, with contributions from Matas Jogėla, keeping the Vilnius side confidently ahead – 54:47. The lead eventually grew to double digits (66:55), bringing the hosts closer to victory. Childress tried to rally CBet (68:73), but a couple of three-pointers were enough for the Vilnius team to restore their double-digit advantage – 79:69.
Marek Blaževič missed the game due to illness, while Daniel Baslyk played a few minutes before heading to the locker room with an injury.
