Wolves Twinsbet scoring leader Sulaimon will be leaving the Lithuanian capital's club

Wolves Twinsbet scoring leader Rasheed Sulaimon will be leaving the Lithuanian capital's club and has decided to choose another stop in his basketball career for next season after his one-year contract with the team. The Vilnius-based team will now have to look for a new focal point on offense with the star guard's departure.

The experienced 30-year-old basketball player instantly became a Wolves Twinsbet fan favourite upon his arrival in Lithuania. The 6'4" American import captivated numerous fans with his basketball skills and energetic charisma.

He was the top scorer in the group stage of the European Cup (BKT-EuroCup), marking a great start to the Wolves' season but suffered an ankle injury after playing six games that kept him out of basketball for a couple of months.

In the eight games he played in the BKT-EuroCup tournament, the spitfire guard averaged 18.2 points per game and added 4.1 assists and 2.2 rebounds per outing while shooting 39% from long range.

The team sorely lacked Sulaimon's contributions not only in the BKT-EuroCup matches but also in the most important games of the season in the Lithuanian national championship. Due to a hamstring injury, he could not help the team to his full capabilities in the battle for third place. Although he did play in the mini-final series, he was far from his best version.

Despite the unfortunate end to the Wolves' season, Sulaimon was still the most productive and most efficient player in the Betsafe-LKL, notching 15.7 points, 2.8 assists, 2.7 rebounds, and 15.6 EFF per game.

These accumulated statistics led to Sulaimon's selection to the 2023-24 All-LKL Team. Additionally, he showcased his long-range sniping in the somewhat controversial three-point shooting contest during the Final Four festivities of the Citadele King Mindaugas Cup (Citadele-KMT), where he was named a co-winner together with American compatriot Sean McNeil.

Sulaimon's most memorable game (having played more than one impressive match in his lone season with Wolves Twinsbet) is the third faceoff against BC Neptunas in Klaipėda. With the Wolves trailing by 19 in the final quarter, he erupted for 20 points on 3-of-4 shooting from the three-point arc, including a last-second heave from long distance to seal the win for Vilnius.

Wolves Twinsbet club thanks the basketball player, who displayed more than one unforgettable moment for a memorable season, for his huge contribution to the team's victories and wishes him the best possible success in the future.
