Wolves Twinsbet to face CBet Jonava in Citadele KMT quarterfinals

On Sunday, the draw for the Citadele King Mindaugas Cup (Citadele KMT) quarterfinals took place, revealing all four matchups for this stage. 

The hands of Šarūnas Vasiliauskas and Citadele Bank board member Vaidas Žagūnis determined that the eight teams will compete in the following pairings for a spot in the Citadele KMT Final Four:

  • Rytas Vilnius vs. Neptūnas Klaipėda
  • Žalgiris Kaunas vs. Šiauliai-Casino Admiral
  • 7bet-Lietkabelis Panevėžys vs. Nevėžis-Optibet Kėdainiai
  • Wolves Twinsbet Vilnius vs. CBet Jonava

The quarterfinal games will begin this coming weekend. On December 21 (Saturday) at 17:00, Neptūnas will host Rytas. On December 22 (Sunday) at 17:30, CBet will welcome Wolves Twinsbet.

Two more games will take place on December 23 (Monday). At 17:30 in the Sun City (Šiauliai), Šiauliai-Casino Admiral will start their series against Žalgiris. At 19:30, Nevėžis-Optibet will host 7bet-Lietkabelis. 

The return games for all series will be held in the arenas of the teams that finished higher in last season’s Betsafe-LKL standings. 

On January 18 (Saturday) at 16:00, Wolves Twinsbet will face CBet, followed by Rytas vs. Neptūnas at 18:30.

On January 19 (Sunday) at 17:00, the decisive matchup between 7bet-Lietkabelis and Nevėžis-Optibet will take place.

On January 20 (Monday) at 19:00, Žalgiris will face Šiauliai-Casino Admiral.

The team from each pairing with the better point differential across both games will advance to the Citadele KMT Final Four.

All Citadele KMT quarterfinal games will be broadcast live on LRT Plius.

The Citadele KMT Final Four will take place on February 15–16 in Vilnius, at the “Twinsbet” Arena.
