BC Wolves’ Citadele KMT QF home game to be played in Kėdainiai

After the recent quarterfinals draw pairings of the Citadele King Mindaugas Cup (Citadele KMT) last Sunday, it appears that last season's scenario is set to repeat itself. The Vilnius-based BC Wolves will be playing for a spot in the Final Four phase in a two-game series against BC Zalgiris of Kaunas beginning December 30.

The much-anticipated face-off will happen in the city of Kedainiai instead of the club’s Avia Solutions Group home arena in Vilnius due to previously scheduled events in the said venue.

"Before the season started, as we were putting together the possible schedule options, we planned to play the Citadele KMT Cup quarter-final home match in our arena right after the New Year. However, the situation in Israel scrapped these plans. Due to the change in the date of the away match against Hapoel Tel Aviv, we will have to travel to Belgrade in early January for the rescheduled BKT EuroCup game. On December 30, both the home (Vilnius' ASG arena) and Alytus arenas are occupied, so we will start the series against Zalgiris in the hometown of our team captain, Regimantas Miniotas, in Kėdainiai. We believe that this is good news for the people of Kėdainiški, who we are inviting to come to the arena to support our team and enjoy a real basketball celebration," said Wolves club director Andrius Žiauberis.

Tickets for the Citadele KMT quarter-final match in Kėdainiai between the BC Wolves and BC Žalgiris will be on sale beginning Wednesday (December 13).
