BC Wolves’ Rasheed Sulaimon wins Betsafe Casino three-point shootout

BC Wolves guard Rasheed Sulaimon was awarded as the winner of this year's Betsafe Casino three-point competition held at the Žalgiris arena in Kaunas, alongside co-winner Sean McNeil of Kėdainiai's Nevėžis-Optibet.

Both snipers scored 16 points in the final round. Although R. Sulaimon's victory (originally recorded at 18 points) was initially recognized, the tallying error was corrected, and the award was then shared by both players in the annual shootout.

The winners of the Betsafe Casino long-distance shooting contest each received a cash prize of 3,333 euros.

12 professional basketball players from the Betsafe-LKL and 16-year-old Edvinas Paulauskas, the winner of "Betsafe One Shot '24", participated in the competition. The latter got eliminated after the initial round, scoring 15 points.

Martyn Gecevičius (22), Daniel Lavrinović (22), Sean McNeil (19), and Rasheed Sulaimon (19) made it to the semi-finals.

The two players who top-scored in the first round fell: veteran and favorite M. Gecevičius (18) and D. Lavrinovičius (17). Meanwhile, the Wolves’ R.Sulaimon (20) and S. McNeil (19) managed to register top marks in the semis to earn a face-off in the final round.
