The top six seeds in the Betsafe-LKL are finally set, and the only unanswered question to be settled in the Lithuanian basketball league's postseason is which team between M Basket-Delamode Mažeikiai and Cbet Jonava will take the 7th and 8th spots.
The schedule of the first two matches of the pairings in the quarter-final stage has been announced with the last few regular season games yet to be played. Each series will be a race to two wins.
The playoffs will start with the top-seeded team of the regular season BC Žalgiris Kaunas on May 12 (Sunday) - their opponent will be known on May 9 (Thursday) when M Basket-Delamode faces off against Nevėžis-Optibet Kėdainiai in a match to determine the seventh place. If M Basket-Delamode wins, Jonava CBet will meet the current champions. If the Mažeikiai team loses, then they will play against Zalgiris in the quarterfinals.
On the same day, May 12, Uniclub Casino - Juventus Utena will be hosting 7bet-Lietkabelis Panevėžys.
On May 13 (Monday) two playoff series will be played in the capital - Rytas Vilnius versus either CBet or M Basket Delamode and Wolves Twinsbet Vilnius against BC Neptūnas Klaipėda.
On May 14-15 across all pairings, matches will be played in the home arenas of the lower-seeded teams in the regular season.
If a third game is needed to settle a series match-up, it will be scheduled on May 17-18.
