Wolves Twinsbet Vilnius will not exercise the option to extend the contract of Italian basketball coach Alessandro Magro.
Under Magro, who took the helm last summer, the Wolves made history by reaching the BKT EuroCup playoffs for the first time in the club’s young history and also advanced to the Citadele KMT Final Four.
“On behalf of the club, I want to thank Coach Alessandro—a great professional and person—for his work throughout the past season. We took a step forward as an organization by reaching the EuroCup Round of 16, but the way the season ended wasn’t what we had hoped for. We've decided that it’s time to take a different direction going forward. We wish Alessandro the best of luck and success in his future career,” said Donatas Zavackas, Wolves Twinsbet sporting director.
Following this decision, the club will begin the search for a new head coach and start assembling the roster for the upcoming season.
